The event which held in the last couple of days in Sagamu had a large turnout of fatal casualties.

This ugly situation is an eyesore for a community like ours, and the contemporary issues bidding with the ugly situation is demeaning, thereby causing great damage to the image of youths in our communities. Violent gangsterism is a fundamental public problem that aggravates crises not limited to economic and social downtone with its huge unpleasant consequences. And we cannot also overlook intensity of unrest caused by misinformation and spread of malicious rumours by a blogger identified with the number 08105342468 hence untrue rumour about death of a soldier.

As such, as representatives of youths in Sagamu Local Government we totally frown at the incessant killings happening. And Sagamu Youth Association, under the leadership of President, Comr. Sikiru Olusegun Abdulwasiu, we are sensitive to the unwarranted death and our resolve is centred on peace even if it will warrant using all available options at disposal.

Yes, youths are the leaders of today, but we cannot lay claim on this if we do not desist on unnecessarily shortening our lives indiscriminately.

Peace! Peace! Peace!!!

God bless Sagamu!!!
