RemoGDF: Official Handing Over Ceremony Between Pioneer Executives And New Executives Of Remo Growth And Development Foundation

It was another historical moment on Wednesday, 20th December, 2023, as RemoGDF the pioneer and new executive members of Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RemoGDF) converged in lagos. The handing over meeting was primarily scheduled to present the new leadership of the foundation, the pioneer team’s accomplishments, which includes Security of life and property, economic empowerment programs, youth development, rural intervention grants, provision of infrastructural facilities, on-going and other pending projects as stated in the welcome address made by the pioneer foundation’s chairman, Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin.

Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RemoGDF), a not-for-profit and non-political organization, was inaugurated by the Visioner and Grand Patron, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi CFR, (Torungbuwa II), the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland on May 1, 2018 with all Remo Royal Fathers as the Patrons while the membership of the foundation is opened to all eminent and distinguished sons and daughters of Remoland. RemoGDF aims to promote peace, growth and development in Remoland, Ogun State and Nigeria in general.

“On behalf of the pioneer executives of RemoGDF, the handover report was presented by the foundation’s pioneer Chairman, Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin to the new foundation’s Chairman, Otunba Seni Adetu, which contains accurate and clear foundation’s status updates, completed and pending tasks and other important information for consideration by the new executives RemoGDF.”

In his speech, the foundation’s pioneer Chairman, Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin appreciated the Visioner and Grand Patron of RemoGDF, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR and the Patrons, Remo Royal Fathers for given them a rare priviledge to serve Remoland meritoriously as a set of committed and formidable team for the unity, growth and development of Remoland.

The new Chairman of the foundation (RemoGDF), Otunba Seni Adetu applauded the great achievements made by the pioneer executives of the foundation under the amiable leadership of Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin, Chairman and Aare (Dr.) Kola Oyefeso, Co-Chairman respectively.

In his remarks, he noted the new five key strategic initiatives which includes Security; Youth Empowerment, Trade and Investment, Promotion of One Remo and Government Advocacy and Stakeholders Management. Otunba Seni Adetu promised an all-inclusive administration.

Otunba Seni Adetu, the new Chairman, RemoGDF disclosed that, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, B.L, LL.M, FCA, FBR, DSC, (Torungbuwa II), the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas, Visioner and Grand Patron of RemoGDF had given his royal approval to the consistution and appointment of the new executives of the foundation for their unflinching support for selfless, committed and continued peaceful co-existence, unity, growth and development of Remoland.

The newly consistuted committees and their Heads are Culture and Heritage: Prince Wole Sowole (1st Vice Chairman), Security: Col. Dele Oyefuga (Retd.) (2nd Vice Chairman), other committees includes Membership: Mr Jide Ogunkoya, Finance & Strategy: Engr. Wole Ogunsanya, Health and Social Investment: Mr. Sammy Ogunjimi, Agriculture & Rural Development: Dr. Opeyemi Agbato, Education and Youth Empowerment: Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, Diaspora Relations: Mr. Anthony Osibodu and Hon. Mrs. Sade Sobanjo-Etti, Trade, Investment, Infrastructure and Government Relations: Mr. Oladimeji Oresanya. Other executives are Internal Auditor: Mr Sola Oyenuga, Financial Secretary: Mr. Olumide Onimole, Ag. General Manager (Secretariat): Mr. Kunle Soile and Media & Publicity Adviser: Omo’ba Abiola Ogundeko.

The Board of Trustees members of RemoGDF are, Sir (Dr.) Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu, CON, KJW, FISM (Chairman); Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin, (Secretary), while other Board members are – Asiwaju (Dr.) S. K. Onafowokan, OON, Aare (Dr.) Kola Oyefeso, Hon. Adekunle Soname, OFR, Engr. Adewale Fayemi, Dr. Eniola Ajayi, Chief (Mrs.) Folasade Ogunbiyi and Dr. (Mrs.) Tokunbo Awolowo-Dosunmu.
