Obaruwa Cup 2024: Surulere Beats Igbobi, Advances To Final, Agbowa Books Berth In Penalty Win Over Ojumele

The much talked about Obaruwa Cup 2024, organized by the Festival planning committee which the semi-final match was held yesterday at Sagamu High School football pitch, between Surulere Fc vs Igbobi Fc and Agbowa Fc vs Ojumele Fc.

In the first semi-final match, with a keenly contested game, Surulere Fc won Igbobi Fc with a penalty on Monday, 19th February, the match which ended up with a penalty after 90mins with Surulere Fc 4-3 Igbobi Fc.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Segun Okeowo Ikenga, Head of Football Committee, Obaruwa Cup 2024, applauded the youths for turning-out to watch the match. He described sport, especially football as a unifying factor, Furthermore, he vowed to surely be in support with any brand to support Makun and Remo land through Sporting events.

Comrade Adeyinka Ashaye, Director of Information (NYCN Sagamu Chapter) lauded the event. He gave kudos to the organizers and the good work they are doing to sustain the event from the onset. We will do everything to make the event always successful.

After the brief interviews session, commencement of the second semi-final football match begins with Agbowa Fc vs Ojumele Fc.

Agbowa Fc played out Ojumele Fc all through the 90mins but ended up with 0-0 draw. Straight to penalty after the 90mins draw, Agbowa Fc 4:2 Ojumele Fc. Agbowa Fc won Ojumele Fc with Penalty.
