Setbacks For Atiku, Peter Obi As Judicial Workers Set To Join Strike Action

The Judiciary Staff Union Of Nigeria JUSUN is set to join the proposed strike action declared by the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC.

Recall that the National Chairman Of NLC comrade Joe Ajero had on Thursday,June 2nd declared a nationwide warning strike to the federal government of Nigeria, and the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation NNPC.

According to Ajaero, the NLC is protesting against the price hike of petroleum products across the country as a result of the subsidy removal.

They stated that if the NNPC failed to revert the price of fuel to the old price before Tinubu assume office that they will embark on a nationwide strike on Wednesday June 7th.

According to the circular Released by .J Akwashiki on behalf of the general secretary directed all the judicial workers under the umbrella of Judiciary Staff Union Of Nigeria JUSUN and their sister agencies to mobilise to join in the strike action on Wednesday.

What this means is that if the judicial workers embark on strike,it will be a setback to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal cases that is currently going on.

Recall that the Presidential candidate of Labour Party Peter Obi and that of PDP Atiku Abubarka is currently challenging the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the February 25 presidential election who has already been sworned in as president,at the election petition tribunal.
