Imo Guber: Mammoth Crowd As Gen. Ogunewe Storms Ideato, While Other Candidates Avoid Campaign

…General Lincoln Ogunewe endorsed by the people of Ideato as he brings campaign to their people.

Ahead of the November 11 governorship election in the state, the people of of Ideato nation on Friday, 3rd November 2023 , received the Action Alliance Governorship candidate, Major General Lincoln Keonyemere Jack Ogunewe Rtd.

It was a memorable moment when the campaign train of General Ogunewe stormed Ideato federal constituency where the people described him as the best alternative. While other candidates have refused to visit Ideato federal constituency for fear of the unknown, General Ogunewe was given a celebratory reception .

It was indeed a moment which cannot be extinguished from the sand of times, as the people of Ideato north and south gathered at St. Peter’s Anglican church field in Akokwa to receive the people’s General, Lincoln Jack Ogunewe with his campaign train.

The campaign train first made a brief stop-over at International Market Orlu where traders received him with excitement and Jubilation before heading to Akokwa.

Before his arrival at St Peter’s Anglican church field Akokwa, the people have already branded the vicinity with Ogunewe’s posters and campaign banners. All the major roads in Akokwa was already congested leading to heavy traffic congestion. Legs and vehicles were competing favourably for space.

The arrival of General Ogunewe was heralded with 24 canon shots which electrified the atmosphere.

The people described his arrival as a heroic reception. According to them, no candidate has ever visited Ideato since electioneering campaign because of fear.

They expressed happiness and excitement to receive and have General Ogunewe stormed Ideato nation. They expressed confidence in the strength and ability of major General Ogunewe whom they described as the only candidate that has the capacity of protecting their votes.

Speaking at the rally, a respected and prominent priest of the Anglican communion, Venerable Isaac Ike expressed optimism on the capacity of General Ogunewe in providing the needed leadership in the state .

“In Ideato, we have suffered a lot , we no longer sleep. We are living under anxiety, fear and apprehension. We need a man who can rescue us from the scourge of insecurity, restore peace and tranquility in our land. It is only General Ogunewe we believe that can fight insecurity in the state. We are endorsing him today as our sole candidate , and pray God to grant him victory in the coming election”

General Ogunewe reiterated and reassured the people of Ideato nation of his commitment in transforming Imo state from a state of insecurity to a state of prosperity. He thanked the people of Ideato for coming out en masse to receive him.

The truth is that, the enthusiastic and massive reception of General Ogunewe in Ideato has once reinforced his acceptability in Orlu.

The allied opposition can attest to the glaring fact that General Ogunewe is the only one ndi Imo want. Nothing can alter this conclusively overwhelming proposition.
