Hon. Damilare Bello At Emuren Community On A sympathy Visit After A Fierce Thunderstorm [Watch Video]

The Honourable representing Offin, Sagamu 1 State Constituency at Ogun State House of Assembly, Omooba Damilare Bello Mohammed has visited Emuren Community following the devastating thunderstorm.

“It was a painful Sunday for all the people of Emuren- a town under constituency 1 of Sagamu local government”, Honorable Damilare Bello said as a received a shocking news.

The people woke up to go about their various businesses when this fiery thunder storm started from 11am and lasted for over 2 hours raising over 50 houses roofs completely and damaging many others including the only government primary and secondary school there.

According to eyewitnesses report gathered by The Eaglesforesight correspondent, no life was recorded to be lost but businesses and goods worth millions of naira were destroyed.

Some of the community members interviewed were in tears, expressing hopelessness except the government comes to their aid.

Honourable, Omooba Damilare Mohammed Bello, as a responsive democrat on swift response, along with representatives of Remo Parliament Group, visited the community on Monday 22nd April, a day after the incident after having a very tight working schedule in the house of assembly, yet had to still make it to Emuren through the dilapidated road abandoned for ages.

The Honourable in his foresight after speaking to the king, HRH Oba Alowonle Adesegun Bolaji and some notable chiefs, has set up a machinery to collate all the affected houses and persons in order for him to advocate for them on the floor of the assembly.

He consoled all the affected persons to take heart and promised that he will do all within his powers to get their message to the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who is always responsive.

Hon Dre Bello also appealed to all philanthropists in the state and Nigeria at large to support in rebuilding the community. In his emotional response he said; “I am deeply devasted by this natural disaster. I saw women, children and fathers that will be sleeping under no roof. I can only imagine. I hereby appeal to all meaning Nigerians to come join us in rebuilding this community because the damage is much.”
