It is hard to believe that nearly a year has passed since Chief Bayode Omololu Oluwole, the Bobajiro of Remoland, departed this world. His absence remains deeply felt, not only within the Oluwole family but also across the political landscape of Ogun East Senatorial District and Ogun State as a whole. His stability, leadership, and unwavering dedication to political progress left an indelible mark that continues to shape the future.
Chief Bayode Oluwole was the definition of political loyalty, resilience, and commitment to good governance. His passion for leadership and his relentless pursuit of progress saw him take great personal risks to ensure his political vision was realized. A prime example was his pivotal role in the 2003 governorship election, which ushered in Otunba Gbenga Daniel. At the time, the political landscape in Remoland was highly competitive, with formidable contenders such as Dr. Doyin Okupe, Barrister Adefulu (SAN), and Col. Emmanuel Shoda all in the race. Despite the challenges, Chief Oluwole stood firm in his belief in strong leadership and played a key role in shaping the outcome of that election.
His politics was never about personal gain; no one had to bring him money to earn his support. His only requirement was the ability to lead and serve the people with integrity. His disappointment in those who betrayed the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State reflected the sentiments of political heavyweights like the late Senator Jubril Martins Kuye, Chief Olalekan Ishola Ojo, and Senator Olalekan Mustafa. The deliberate destruction of a party built through years of sacrifice and struggle was one of the most defining and regrettable moments in Ogun State’s political history.
Chief Oluwole’s political career was marked by principled decisions and unwavering integrity. His journey from the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) to the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) under Chief Obafemi Awolowo was a testament to his commitment to progressive politics. As the first Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government and a key ally of the late MKO Abiola, he worked tirelessly to ensure strong representation for his people. When the Social Democratic Party (SDP) dissolved and the PDP in Ogun State began to lose its foundation, he made a firm decision to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC). His transition to the APC was a conscious and final step, staying true to the progressive values that shaped his political philosophy. Until his passing, Chief Oluwole remained a proud and committed member of the APC.
His legacy is not something to be claimed lightly. It is not built on mere words or entitlement, but on a lifetime of dedication to good governance and selfless service. Those who seek to continue his work must embody his values of humility, dedication to the people, and commitment to progress. His legacy is not about self-promotion but about real leadership that makes a difference in people’s lives.

The Bayode Omololu Oluwole Political Organisation continues the legacy he built, ensuring that his vision and commitment to political development remain alive. His emphasis on quality leadership and selfless service remains the guiding principle of this movement. The family is deeply grateful to His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun, for his generous support and the commendation letter recognizing Chief Oluwole’s immense contributions to Ogun State. Governor Abiodun’s leadership and governance reflect the very principles that Chief Oluwole stood for. Special appreciation also goes to Distinguished Senator Olalekan Mustafa, a true leader and elder statesman, for his unwavering support and guidance.
In furtherance of Chief Oluwole’s lifelong mission of ensuring strong and effective representation for Remoland, the Bayode Omololu Oluwole Political Organisation has resolved to support and present Oyeleke Oluwole for the APC’s nomination for the Federal House of Representatives. For decades, Chief Oluwole sponsored and supported leaders who upheld the interests of the people at the National Assembly, and this commitment must continue. After extensive consultations with political allies and key stakeholders within the APC, the decision was made to back Oyeleke Oluwole as the best candidate to represent Remoland at the National Assembly.
Oyeleke Oluwole has been a dedicated member of the APC for over a decade, consistently supporting the party’s vision and contributing to its growth. He embodies the qualities of leadership, integrity, and service that Chief Oluwole championed throughout his life. We ask for your support, prayers, and guidance as we embark on this journey together, ensuring that the values and principles Chief Oluwole stood for remain at the forefront of political leadership in Ogun State.
Commiseration for the Late Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga
As we continue this journey of political service and dedication to good governance, we must take a moment to mourn the passing of the Rt. Hon. Otunba Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga. Her death is a profound loss to Remoland, Ogun State, and the entire political landscape. She was a steadfast leader, a passionate advocate for her people, and a true daughter of Remoland, whose contributions to governance will never be forgotten.
The Bayode Omololu Oluwole Political Organisation extends our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and supporters. May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant her eternal rest and Aljana Firdaus. Her absence leaves a significant void, but her legacy of service and leadership must be upheld. Remoland must ensure that her achievements and dedication to the people are not only honored but also built upon for the continued progress of our great region.
May Chief Bayode Omololu Oluwole’s and Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga’s legacies continue to inspire and guide us all.⁰
