The Yoruba Council Worldwide Sues For Strong Bond of Unity Amongst Monarchs, Political, Traditional, Religious, Security, Business, Women And Youth Leaders; Reiterate On Importance of Undiluted Love and Unity in Yoruba Land.

The Apex Yoruba interest group; Igbimọ Àpapọ Yoruba Lagbaye – Yoruba Council Worldwide – (Umbrella body to the Yoruba Council of Women Worldwide and Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide and all other affiliated Yoruba interest organizations) has called on the attention of all Monarchs, Political, Traditional, Religious, Security, Business. Women and Youth leaders of our beloved clan, to embrace strong bond of unity and undiluted love amongst fellow tribesmen and women for the interest of the entire Yoruba nation and by extension Nigeria.

The President of the group in person of Aare Barr. Oladotun Hassan while addressing pressmen on Thursday 9th of December, 2021 in Lagos, reiterated on the need for all Yoruba indigenous leaders across all spheres of life to continuously have the interest of the race first at heart before personal interest, because as an entity we must understand that there is a bond that keeps us together, Yoruba will say – Agbajo owo L’afin so’ya, owo kan o gbe’ru d’ori and A’arinpo omo ejo ko ni je ki iya je ejo (Together we stand, divided we fall).

Hence, the urgent need do everything within our reach to protect, salvage and promote that bond of Unity: “Isokan Yoruba” for the sake of posterity, being our core focus for the 2022 World Omoluabi Day Festivals slated for Sunday May 1st, 2022 at the Ojaja Arena, Ife Grand Resorts and Suites, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

He further stated that – if we can have a tribe where all Religious leaders come together to synergize on spiritual balancing of our region, Monarchs come together in one accord to synergize on progress and development without tussle for superiority, Political figures come together under the ages of “Yoruba Agenda” to achieve great heights in the political space nationally and globally irrespective of their political differences, Youth leaders of Yoruba interest groups come together to strategize on Yoruba youth capacity building and development. These and other leaders or prominent figures across all other walks of life follow suit in the same trend respectively.

One thing we are made to understand from all tenets of religions is the noble teaching and philosophy of love, therefore it is important to love and respect your neighbour as yourself, and if this is done without sentiments then we can be rest assured to have a peaceful, progressive and united Yoruba race of our dream.

Interestingly, Yorubas are globally known to be gifted set of people who make excellent impacts in whatever fields we meet ourselves, we are gifted with rich culture, integrity based on our ‘Omoluabi’ virtuousness principles and ideology, predicated on unimpeachable aesthetic traditions full of veritable history, and we must protect that with utmost respect for one another and future generations, he stated.

Unity they say is strength, embrace unity, preach unity, teach unity to your offsprings.
