Adeyanju said the next CBN governor should have experience of working with financial institutes such as the International Monetary Fund, IMF, and World Bank.
According to him, “FG must stop appointing bankers as CBN Gov. They know nothing about the economy.
“These are just mere marketers. An economist of repute with experience of working with world financial institutions and organs like IMF, World Bank, etc, should be the next CBN Gov.”
Recall that the current CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele was appointed on June 4, 2014 and his second tenure is expected to end in 2024.
