The outgoing President of Sagamu Youth Association, Comrade Olusegun Sikiru Abdulwasiu has appeased to the Board of Trustees and the Transition Committees to be transparent.

He earlier appreciated the stakeholders for their decisions taken so far on dissolution of the executives.

He expresses his surprise and rude shock at the sudden dissolution of the executive council for not following proper consultation or prior notice.

“I understand the need for harmonization and the directives of the Akarigbo of Remo land, but I believe due process should be followed to avoid any perceived illegality or hijacking of the association.”

“I urge the Board of Trustee to ensure that the transition process is transparent, fair, and inclusive. The appointment of a Transition is a step in the right direction, but I hope their terms of reference will be made public and their activities will be subject to scrutiny.”

“Although my tenure has come to an end, I am yet to fully express my appreciation for your support and cooperation. I promise to do so in due course, once the new executives have emerged and the transitional committee has outlined its duties.”

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I look forward to continuing to serve the community in various capacities.

I appreciate the efforts to ensure a united and formidable youth leadership in Sagamu, but I hope the stakeholders will take into consideration the feelings and concerns of all members, including myself, who have dedicated their time and resources to the growth and development of the association.

Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to a peaceful and harmonious resolution of this matter.
