Sagamu Youth Acting President, Onabanjo Oluwaseun Suspended Over Alleged Abuse Of Office

The Sagamu Youth Association vice president 1, Onabanjo Oluwaseun has been relieved from acting as the association president over alleged abuse of office.

This was made known on the 3rd of February, 2024 in a press statement released by the association director of information, Comrade Sholarin Adedapomola.

The full statement reads below:

“Dear Sagamu Youth Association Members and the General Public, we trust this message finds you well. We would like to inform you that, after careful consideration and in adherence to our constitution, the executive-members of Sagamu Youth Association has unanimously made the decision to relieve embattled Oluwaseun Onabanjo, now former Acting President, repositioned back as Vice President 1 of Sagamu Youth Association.”

“While we await the five (5) man committee report to give detailed information, the relieve is a measure taken to allow free flow for thorough investigation into the alleged abuse of office.”

“While we understand that this news may come as a surprise, please rest assured that we are committed to upholding transparency and accountability within our association. The suspension is a precautionary measure taken to allow for a thorough investigation into the matter.”

“We assure you that the association’s operations will continue smoothly during this period, and the Vice President 2 in person of Comrade Ifedayo Oluwaseun Akande (Asiwaju) will be assuming the responsibilities of the Acting President in the interim.”

“Thank you for your understanding.”

Meanwhile, 5-man committee has been set up to look into the matter, investigate the allegations levelled against the embattled acting president, Onabanjo Oluwaseun and submit their resolution to the executives of the association within 7 days according to the association constitution, while the vice president 2, Comrade Akande Oluwaseun Ifedayo take over the responsibility and act in capacity of the president.
