Remo North: Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye Facilitates Wema Bank Plc To Isara Remo, Joy On Residents Face As Wema ALAT Hub Opens Branch

Honourable Adebiyi Adeleye, the former SA to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on political matters has facilitated a project that’s worth moving Remo North on to the next level if efforts won’t be frustrated but handled with decorum.

A development that has put smiles on the face of the students of Gateway ICT Polytechnic Sapaade and the entire residents of Isara and Remo North at large.

This gesture is for the first time brought to Remo North axis after the same initiative has been enjoyed at Ijebu Ode in 2021 and Ago Iwoye in 2022.

The official commissioning of the Alat Hub was promised to come up after the Easter Holidays and by the Grace of God has come to reality.

In line with the resolution of the bank to have banking facilities close to the people, the Wema Bank Plc honours the request of Sir Adebiyi Adeleye KJW to operate her Bank Hub in Remo North LG,Isara Remo in particular.

The team of the bank was on the 4th of April, 2023 formally visits the operation hub center located at a wing of Apagun Adebiyi Country Home Office at the former Afotamodi/Ogunola MFB to test run the Hub operation and train the Hub operation Agents.

The visiting team commends the gestures and effort of the initiator for putting up a conducive and executive work place to serve as the Operation office in the Local Government. The office is fully equipped with needed operational devices, powered 24/7 by uninterrupted solar system which the Bank executives believe will serve as prototype for other prospective agents.

“After a successful training of staff and orientation. Members of the public could not hide their readiness to have a banking system for account opening, deposit of funds, soft loans, transfer of funds, bvn enrollment and of course issuance of Debit Card among others. A number of whom immediately open an operational bank account and obtain viable debit card.”

The presence of the bank in Isara will ease the stress and risk of lives of people of the LG who usually go as far as Iperu, Sagamu, Ijebu Ode and others places to transact bank businesses particularly at a time when all the banks in Sagamu are not operating.

When contacted, the Hub Operation Manager Mr. Olaniran A Ajayi said the commencement of operations at the Hub will give relief to the good of people of the local Government and improve the socio-economic development of the people and save economic hours wasted on transit to Sagamu, Ijebu Ode etc.

“This has been something we’ve always wanted, but for reasons not known, it wasn’t achieved in the past, but I want to appreciate honourable Biyi for doing this for his people. This would reduce the rate at which people travel far before they get to do any financial transaction.” Eyewitness says.

“This is the beginning of great things as very soon, a big bank branch will be opened in Isara. I plead with everyone to maximize this opportunity and not do anything to frustrate the effort of those who made this dream a reality “. Remo North local government chairman said.

The commissioning was attended by the eleposho of eposho Oba Mukaila Akanji, Remo North Governor Liasing Officer (GLO) Omooba Abiola Ogundeko, Honourable Adebiyi Adeleye, commissioner for community and cooperative Honourable Abayomi, Christian and Islamic clerics and many other dignitaries.
