The Nigeria President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected back in the country today, Monday, 24th of April 2023 ahead May 29th inauguration.
Asiwaju Tinubu’s return to Nigeria was confirmed by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday.
Bayo disclosed that the President-elect has been on vacation in France.
Tweeting, Onanuga Bayo wrote: “Nigeria’s President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu returns to Abuja today after weeks of a well deserved vacation in France. E kaabo! Se dada le de!”

Tinubu’s absence from Nigeria’s political scene has been a subject of controversy.
Reports had it that on March 22 that Tinubu was secretly ferried abroad for medical treatment.
The reports alleged that Tinubu took ill after months of uninterrupted political campaigns across the nation.
But, Tinubu’s media team dismissed the narrative, stressing that he traveled to Paris for rest after a hectic campaign season.
Also, the Secretary of the disbanded All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, James Faleke, has confirmed Tinubu’s expected return today, Monday.
James Faleke said Tinubu is expected back in Nigeria at 2 pm on Monday, after a one-month vacation in France.
In a terse statement, Faleke mobilized those who would be available to welcome Tinubu at the airport.
According to Onanuga Bayo: “It’s official. My dear brothers and sisters of this unique family. I wish to inform and request of us all that anyone in Abuja and Nasarawa is invited to join in receiving our Peoples President and First Lady-elect tomorrow by 2pm at the Presidential wing of the International Airport. Departure Time: 2pm. Departure Venue: The Campaign Office.
“Accreditation time: 12pm. Buses will be provided. Only Accredited persons will be allowed at the Airport for security reasons.”
