Photo News: NEMA Team Visits Ijebu And Remo Zones, Meets With Affected Local Residents



Following the aftermath of the motions moved by His Excellency, The distinguished Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, FNSE, FAEng, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA had on Tuesday 15th of August visited Ijebu and Remo zones to meet with victims of Local residents affected by flooding issues.

The areas visited by NEMA are; Iju, Ikangba, Ododgbolu, Sagamu, Ikenne, Remo North on Tuesday 15 August, 2023.

Meanwhile, NEMA had earlier said in a statement that the below listed states and communities shall be affected by flood in the month of August: Delta State (Aboh), Ekiti (Ado-Ekiti), Ondo (Akure, Idanre, Ifon, Iju Itaogbolu, Ogbese, Owo, Owena, Ondo).

Others included: Lagos State (Apapa, Badagry, Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Ikoyi, Lagos Island, Ojo, Surulere); Anambra (Atani); Ogun (Ifo, Ota, Sagamu); Nasarawa (Lafia, Wamba); and Cross River (Ikom, Ogoja).

Also listed other states with likely floods as Bauchi (Jamaare, Misau, Azare, Itas, Kafin Madaki, Kari, Kirfi, Tafawa Balewa, Katagum); Jigawa (Hadejia, Miga); Osun (Ilesa, Osogbo); and Kwara (Kosubosu).

The rest said are: Zamfara State (Anka, Bungudu, Gusau); Sokoto (Goronyo); Adamawa (Numan, Shelleng); Taraba (Serti); Benue (Ito, Katsina-Alan, Vande-Ikya); Imo (Oguta, Orlu); and Abia (Ugba).

Also, some motorists and commuters plying the ever-busy Bauchi-Gombe road, linking the Northeast states, have cried out over the collapse of the Kalajanga Bridge at Bara Village in Kirfi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

However, the residents of the affected areas in Ogun East applauded Senator Gbenga Daniel for swifting into actions as promised by him.
