Obaruwa Cup 2024: Ojumele Fc Thrash Simawa Fc 2-1
The Ojumele Fc team on Friday pipped Simawa Fc team 2-1 to advance to the quarter final of the tournament at the ongoing Obaruwa Cup 2024 games in preparation for 26th edition of Obaruwa Festival.
The Eaglesforesight reports that the Obaruwa Cup for the year 2024 match is been played at the Sagamu High School field.
The games which started on Monday is expected to end on Thursday 22nd of February, 2024.
Soile Wasiu from Ojumele Fc scored the first goal in the first half immediately he gained a direct through pass from Shira Soyemi.
The Simawa Fc team appeared more determined and relaxed as they capitalised on the mistakes of Ojumele team to score quick goal in a freekick scored by Feranmi Olawale during the first half.
Ogunsanya Olalekan scored the finishing goal against Simawa team.

Speaking after the match, Ojumele Fc coach said that he is optimistic of winning the trophy.
“My next game against any team is not going to be a challenge, I will also beat them with the same margin that I beat the Simawa Fc team.
“We are all in high spirit and are committed to bring positive results to Ojumele as usual.
“My confidence is in my team winning all subsequent tournament in the past. I am happy,” he said.
A total of eight teams are participating in the Obaruwa Cup competition. They are Ajaka FC, Ewu-oliwo Fc, Surulere Fc, Isote Fc, Igbobi Fc, Simawa Fc, Agbowa Fc and Ojumele Fc.
