NYSC: FG Approves Increase In Corps Members Allowance
The Kaduna State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Hassan Taura, has announced that the Federal Government has approved an increase in the feeding allowance for corps members.
Taura disclosed this during an interaction with journalists on Tuesday, shortly after the commencement and swearing-in ceremony for the 2023 Batch B stream 2 orientation course in Kaduna.
While Taura did not provide the specific amount of the allowance increment, he stated, “First, the federal government, in its wisdom, has raised the feeding allowance of the corps members.”

Assuring the welfare of corps members in his state as a priority, the coordinator stated, “I assured them (corps members) that I will ensure they receive high-quality and sufficient meals.
I assured them that they won’t need to spend their money at the camp market. This is the commitment I made to them, and I am delivering on it.”
“I am determined to provide them with meals in a manner that won’t require them to spend their own funds. Since they may not have the financial means, it is our responsibility to ensure they are well-fed,” he added.
