African Action Congress Expresses Deep Condolences Following Tragic Gas Tanker Explosion At Ita-Oshin

The African Action Congress (AAC) of Ogun State is profoundly saddened by the devastating gas tanker explosion that occurred at Ita-Oshin area of Abeokuta yesterday at approximately 5:30 pm.

According to reports, a vehicle traveling from the Obada-Oko axis towards Abeokuta main city lost control, leading to a collision with the median and subsequent explosion. This tragic incident has claimed the life of one individual and resulted in the destruction of numerous buildings and shops, causing panic and anguish among residents in the area.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic gas explosion, which led to the loss of an innocent life and destruction of properties,” stated a spokesperson for the AAC of Ogun. “This is a devastating incident that has brought pain and anguish to many families.”

In light of this unfortunate event, the AAC of Ogun urges Governor Dapo Abiodun to implement essential regulations for the safety of the people of Ogun State.

Specifically, “we call for a ban on truck movement during the day to mitigate the risk of similar incidents in the future. The safety and well-being of our citizens must be prioritized above all else.”
