Sunday Igboho Breaks Silence Over Claims Of Turning Into A Cat During DSS Raid
Sunday Igboho, a prominent Yoruba Nation activist, has finally broken his silence on the rumours that he transformed into a cat during a midnight raid on his home by the Department of State Services (DSS) in July 2021.
In an exclusive interview with Sahara Reporters, Igboho dismissed the report as false, saying that nothing of such happened during the DSS raid.
He explained that the DSS fired indiscriminately during the raid, killing several cats that he kept as pets in his house.
According to the activist, the DSS wanted to either assassinate him or arrest him and take him to an unknown location, but he escaped by the grace of God.

He said, “It is true that some cats were killed during the attack? Because the DSS just kept firing bullets in all directions. I was rearing cats as pets, and I had many of them in my house. So, anything or movement attracted sporadic gunshots.
“Their mission was to either kill me or arrest me and take me to an unknown destination, but the Almighty God is greater than anybody in this world, including the despotic ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.”
Igboho added that he does not know whether the DSS brought three herbalists during the raid, as alleged by some reports.
He said he only heard about it from the media, and he does not know the identities or whereabouts of the herbalists.
The DSS had raided Igboho’s residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, on July 1, 2021, killing two of his associates and arresting 12 others.
The DSS also claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition, charms, and foreign currencies from the house.
Igboho, who was declared wanted by the DSS, fled to Benin Republic, where he was arrested at 11111 airport on July 19, 2021.
