NDLEA Commends Akarigbo, HRM Oba Adewale Ajayi As New Office Is Commissioned In Sagamu

The Akarigbo of Remo land, HRM Oba Adewale Ajayi Babatunde has commissioned the Remo Zonal Office of NDLEA in Sagamu.

Furtherance of the war on crime in Remoland, HRM Alayeluwa Oba Dr Babatunde Ajayi CFR, LL.M, FCA, FBR provided an operational building for the NDLEA to support their efforts at eradicating drug abuse, especially among Remo youths.

Akarigbo calls for collective support of indigenous sons and daughters in tackling drug abuse and illicit trafficking in Remoland

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has lauded the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, for his uncommon affection and remarkable contributions towards the provision and successful commissioning of the NDLEA Office, GRA quarters Sagamu command, Sagamu, Ogun State.

NDLEA also commends Oba Akarigbo for his support towards the agency in tackling drug abuse and illicit trafficking in Remoland, Ogun State, and Nigeria in general.

The agency said, that the gesture by Oba Adewale Ajayi will help to motivate the agency and help its officers in tackling illicit drug abuse, drug trafficking, and other drug vices experienced in the state in recent times.

The commissioning, which was held on Monday, 23rd, October 2023, has the state commander NDLEA Ogun State command, Remo Area Commander NDLEA, other top officers of NDLEA in Ogun State command, Bamofin of Remoland and Chief of Staff to Akarigbo of Remoland.

At the commissioning event, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) called for Remo populace collective efforts to address the challenges of substance abuse as no fewer than 14 percent of Nigerians abuse different substances through addiction.

NDLEA is in charge of drug policy and control in Nigeria within this purview, the Agency has the mandate to curtail illicit production, importation, exportation, sale, use, and trafficking of psychoactive substances.
