Nigeria At 63rd: Take Charge Of Your Destiny — Remo Youth Association President, Onagbesan Tells Youths

The leadership of Remo Youth Association ably led by Comrade Yaya Onagbesan congratulates the entire Remo Youths on the 63rd Independence Day Celebration of Nigeria.

In his congratulatory message, he charges the Youths to take charge of their destiny.

“Today we cherish those who made our independence possible. Freedom is hard to get, but we were blessed to have it. Let’s appreciate everything we have and celebrate the great miracle of freedom.”

“We got our freedom after a lot of sacrifices; we should never take it for granted. Freedom cannot be bought by money. We earned ours through years of struggle against the British. Let us remember all those who fought for our country.”

“It is also an opportunity to pass a message across to Remo Youth on contemporary issues pertaining to Youth and Social Development.”

“I want to wholeheartedly appeal to our Youths to be ambassadors of Love, Peace, Growth and Development. This should be our daily watchword mandated to be passed across from one generation to another.”

“Our major core values should be honesty, boldness, freedom, trust, team spirit, modesty, and responsibility as I believe these values are crucial for any interaction and creating a connection with the outside world.”

“Speaking about the recent cult clash as I quote from Patrick McGooha. “But what is the greatest evil? If you are going to epitomize evil, what is it? Is it the bomb? The greatest evil that one has to fight constantly, every minute of the day until one dies, is the worse part of oneself.”

“Cultism is a national issue but in order to curtail it in Remo, all the stakeholders – Royal Fathers, Government, Religious institutions, Youth Leaders, Schools e.t.c must fight the CAUSE hard and shun it all levels.”

“As youths, we must always reflect on things that is of value to us and our immediate society.”

“In conclusion, I want to charge everyone of us to take charge of our DESTINY to get to our various DESTINATIONS as nothing good comes easy.”
