Terrorists surround Birnin-Gwari, a town in Kaduna and abduct residents of the area. The terrorists were fleeing from Zamfara state while they attacked the Town in Kaduna. It is reported that the area, Birnin-Gwari is within 500 Meters from an Air Force field base.

The Local Government chairman has reportedly warned the residents to reduce movements in the area. The warning came after the security agencies met with the Emirate council of the area.

The Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation, Alhaji Zubair Abdurra’uf criticised the government for not incorporating adequate security measures. He also noted that most of the farmlands in the area has been taken over by the terrorists and therefore has made it difficult for the People to farm.

The Local Government council has enforced a curfew on Birnin-Gwari.
