You’re Govt. Top Priority — Sagamu LG Chairman, Ogbeni Afo To Existing Marketers As Reconstruction Of Alaba Ogijo To Ultra Modern Market Commences

It was a record breaking day for Ogijo residents, most especially the Itesiwaju Alaba Market as the soil was turned to commemorate the reconstruction works of the Alaba Ogijo Ultra Modern Market, Ogijo.

The laudable project was first conceptualised in 2017 and upon the Local Government Chairman’s resumption to office in 2021, he promises to do all within his administrative capacity to get the approval from necessary agencies and see it comes to fruition.

Sagamu LG Chairman, Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate Bringing Govt To Grassroots, Embarked On One Week Visits To Ogijo For Communities Development

According to the chairman, Ogbeni Jubril Afolabi, the Alaba Ultra Modern Market is to be constructed by Eliezer Groups and other two Sister firms; Twin Sisters Investment and Live & Let’s Live Investment while its mortgage facilities shall be handled by our own Gateway Mortgage Bank, Sagamu Branch.

Eaglesforesight gathered, according to Engr. Akinyode Elijah, that; the construction works will take twelve lunar months.

“This Ultra Modern Market as planned will have modern facilities to aid trading and business activities of the market traders. These facilities shall include; Crèche, Adequate Parking Space, Multipurpose Hall, Nice and Spacious Storage Layout, Ample Green Areas, 24hrs Water and Power Supply, Fire Service Unit, 24hrs Security and Internet Facilities for online patronage.”

Ogbeni Afo stated that, the success story of the foundation laying down program ground breaking is incomplete without appreciating God Almighty for his benevolence on the reign of the Akarigbo of Remoland Oba Victor Adewale Babatunde Ajayi who is also the Chairman of Ogun State Council of Obas, the Ologijo of Ogijo Oba Kazeem Gbadamosi and his Council of Chiefs, the Iyaloja of Ogijo Alhaja Sawatullahi Keeji and the Iyaloja General of Sagamu Chief Mrs Ola Oduwaye. And most importantly, the Oluguna and Oluye families for donating hectares of land for the development of this ultra modern market.

“As I promised in my remarks, top priority shall be given to the existing shop owners when the ultra modern market is completed and due for allocation of shops and stalls”, Ogbeni Afo said.

“It is my prayer that as well gathered for this ground breaking ceremony, God in His infinite mercy will keep us safe to be part of the commissioning ceremony and beyond, says Afo.”
