Yoruba Council Of Youth Worldwide (YCYW) Ogun State Chapter Holds Stakeholders Meeting, Elects New Executives
REPORT OF THE YORUBA COUNCIL OF YOUTH WORLDWIDE (YCYW), HELD TODAY JUNE 19, 2021 AT CULTURAL CENTER, KUTO ABEOKUTA
The meeting started at 12pm after the motion for the commencement of the meeting was moved by Omoluabi Tiamiyu Adekunle, supported by Omoluabi Opeyemi OGUNJIMI and opening prayer by Yeye Oluwakemi Abiodun Soyebi SHOKESTA.
Opening prayer was given followed by both National, State and YCYW Anthem was recited.
The State Chairman Hon Adebowale Sunday gave an opening remarks, thanks the available members across the 20 local government and urged everyone to be steadfast with their activities as many benefits are on the way.
The State Chairman therefore noted that some vacant posts will be filled by election before the close of the meeting, most especially the position of the State General Secretary which was previously held by Ogbeni Ajibode Kabir but has now been appointed as the YCYW National General Secretary.
Hon Sunday Adebowale congratulated Ogbeni Abdul Kabir Ajibode who was recently appointed as the YCYW National General Secretary, he noted that Ogbeni Ajibode Abdul got the appointment as a result of his relentless efforts in building the Association and Yoruba land.
Two members were nominated for the office of the State General Secretary which are omoluabi Audu Idris and Omoluabi Ashiwaju Saheed olalekan Oloko which at the end of the electoral process, Omoluabi Ashiwaju Saheed olalekan Oloko pulled a total votes of 8 while Omoluabi Audu Idris pulled a total votes of 4.
Another election that was conducted is the office of the Director of Media and Publicity of the state between Omoluabi Yusuf Wasiu Olamilekan and Miss Emmanuella Adeola (Miss Powers) which later produced Omoluabi Yusuf Wasiu Olamilekan (Oko Momi) after Miss Emmanuella stepped down and agreed to be PRO 2 of the State.
The report on the 3rd World Omoluabi day Festival and Award ceremony which was held at Ile ife on 1/5/2021 was given which cleared the mind of the aggrieved members by both the State Chairman Hon Adebowale Sunday and Yeye Oluwakemi Abiodun Soyebi , Shokesta who is the State Treasurer.
Yeye Oluwakemi Abiodun Soyebi. Shokesta in her remarks appealed to the members who attended the Festival and assured them of proper hospitality in the nearest future.
The reports from each Local Government was given after the state chairman gave the assurance that necessary steps will be taken to resolve the issues across the each local government.
Thereafter, vote of thanks was given followed by the motion for the adjournment of the meeting was moved followed by closing prayers.
NOTE: Appointment of the new elected executives takes immediate effect.
