Yoruba Council Of Youths, Congratulate and acknowledge, the invitation to the installation ceremony of Hon. Shina Peller as Ayedero of Yoruba land.

After being awarded the Omoluabi Royal Icon Award as the Aare Asoju Oodua Agbaye at the 3rd World Omoluabi Festival that was held on the 1st of May, 2021 at the Ile-Ife, Hon. Shina Abiola Peller (p.k.a Ọlọwọ-idan) is again about to be conferred another chieftaincy title as the Ayedero of Yoruba Land by His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Lamidi Adeyemi III.

Hence, the leadership of the Apex Yoruba youths interest group and other affiliated groups; Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (i.e Igbimọ Àpapọ Ọdọ Yorùbá Lágbayé) under the visionary Presidency of Aare Barr. Oladotun Hassan Esq. And the Oyo State Chairmanship of Asoju Odo Alawode Rahmon, hereby send our heartfelt congratulations and felicitations to the Distinguished Honourable and proud ambassador of Yoruba youths around the world as the council acknowledges the invitation to the grand event.

Hon. Peller is no doubt a legend, he lives a kind of life mysteriously shrouded in many question marks. It is certainly the reason that people are in the habit of asking how he does it anytime he becomes the centre attraction in a pulsating topic of public discourse both in political and social circles. Here is a man who minds his business, but ironically, attraction is drawn to him like steel is to magnet.

But, one can expect no less from the scion of the prominent family of the late veteran magician, Professor Moshood Abiola Peller, who in his lifetime, was known even beyond the shores of Nigeria for his breakthrough in the field of magic. Only a man like Prof. Peller could have fashioned a child who would possess similar acumen that would seek to outdo his father and bring renewed honour to the name.

Born on May 14, 1976, Shina Peller displayed an unusual amount of precocity at a very tender age. There was no specialty to him as everything was fun and a challenge.

After his tertiary education in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), where he graduated distinctively in Chemical Engineering, he had immediately proceeded into the economy sector to earn his name. There, he took the bull by the horns and in no time became unarguably the finest of the quintessential Peller dynasty. After all, excellence for him is in-born and refined by grace.

As a graduate of Chemical Engineering, he possesses refined skills that enabled him excel in the oil and gas industry. His training was the foundation for the rapid success achieved by Aquila Oil and Gas in the downstream petroleum industry within the last decade and the current backward integration into the upstream oil and gas industry.

This is without forgetting that the dynamic and skilled Peller also puts on his engineering hat when overseeing complex real estate projects and investments across Nigeria and abroad driven by Aquila Building Projects Limited.

His vision to carve a niche in the entertainment and hospitality industry led him to set up Aquilla Records in 2014, and Quilox Restaurant, Bar and Nightclub, the first purposely built world-class nightclub in Nigeria. It is the first Nigerian club to embark on a club tour that cut across different continents. It is also the first Nigerian club to run a 24-hour non-stop party that later ended up being a 36-hour party. Quilox is also the first Nigerian club to be duly represented at the World Nightlife Convention. These successes led to Hon. Peller being widely regarded as the King of Nightlife in Nigeria.

Not one to forget the needy, Peller has over the years awarded several scholarships and has been involved in various community projects. He has sponsored and continues to sponsor many of his people on pilgrimage to Mecca and Jerusalem. He is a patron of local and international charities, and his continued involvement in community development and philanthropy led him unto a new path, politics.

Even without a political appointment, he had served them in ways so profound he received multiple commendations, like the free eye care program where about 200 people got medication and reading glasses after they had been examined by opticians and the construction of 16 boreholes in his constituency. He built and donated Science Laboratory and Modern Library to Ansarudeen Grammar School in Iseyin and started an empowerment program, the Shina Ayo Empowerment Program (SAEP) that will alleviate the poor living conditions of his people. He also built and donated a modern hostel to NYSC, Oyo State.

Also driven by the desire to unite communities within Oke- Ogun, Peller organized the Peller Unity Cup for the ten local governments in Oke-Ogun in 2017, and for the first time, four teams from Oke- Ogun participated in AETIO Cup, courtesy of his benevolent acts.

Similarly, in his bid to combat illiteracy, he organized a quiz competition for public secondary schools across the four local governments in his constituency and rewarded the outstanding students and their teachers handsomely.

Peller hearkened to the desperate call and passionate appeal of his people to lead the Oke-Ogun geo-political zone in the war from political emancipation, thus in the 2019 general elections, he contested for House of Representatives seat of Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/ Iwajowa federal constituency, Oyo State under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and won with a landslide victory.

As a member of the House of Representatives, he has sponsored several bills and motions, and his notable performance in delivering proper dividends of democracy and creating a proper channel of communication between him and his constituents earned him multiple awards, such as the most Promising House of Representatives Member awarded to him by the Democracy Heroes Awards, the Peace Builder Award for Excellence in Community Development by Peace Achievers International Award.

During the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit hard on the global economy, Hon. Peller distributed palliative materials and foodstuffs to the less-privileged to ease the effect of the pandemic. Similarly, he distributed a sum of N10,000 each to hundreds of Nigerians who are his followers on social media as COVID-19 support funds.

He is also directly responsible for sponsoring the education of many underprivileged students across his constituency, including the children of the heroic soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

A man of the people that will remain a man of the people, Peller is happily married to Ayobola Peller, a chartered accountant and auditor, and their union is blessed with children.

Also in the area of cultural milieu, he is too conspicuous to be disregarded, hence the bestowing of so many traditional titles. He is the Aare Asoju Oodua Agbaye, Agbobaniyi of Iseyin land, Akinrogun of Epe Land; he was also recently conferred the traditional title of Ayedero by HRH Oba Dr Lamidi Adeyemi, Alaafin Oyo.

Congratulations Baba Oloye!

Yoruba ni mi, ọmọ k’otu ojiire!
