Why We Will Destroy PDP – Leader Campaigns For Delta’s NNPP Candidates Reasons
A leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Victor Umukoro has given reasons why some angry members will destroy the party first and then rebuild it later.
Umukoro made the statement Thursday at a town hall meeting hosted by New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) Delta South Senatorial Candidate, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (Retd).
He said given some unwanted shenanigans and haughtiness in the PDP, they will destroy it and rebuild the same for a better Nigeria.
“I am a member of the PDP and I say enough is enough. We will destroy this PDP and rebuild the PDP for a new Nigeria,” he claimed.
The former council presidency aspirant in Warri South Local Government Area said the reason some members of the party were angry was because of the dirty politics allegedly played out in the party.
“They say Oga is done talking. The system has spoken. We’re tired. We will put an end to it,” he promised.
Hon. Umukoro said it’s time that people like Commodore Nesiama, who are well-educated, well-traveled and want to represent them in the Senate, should be given a chance.
“Because of this election, I am not a party man. I’m an observer,’ he joked, lamenting that people are politically backward in Essi Layout in Warri.
He appealed to the people of the area not to fear any form of intimidation during the upcoming election, but to come out en masse and vote for Commodore Nesiama (Retd) in the Senate elections.
The Chairman of Workers in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Magege Matthew, said they are tired of the PDP. He vowed that they will turn their faces, support and vote against the PDP.
He also promised that they will support and vote for Commodore Nesiama in the upcoming elections.
Earlier, Commodore Nesiama, the NNPP senate candidate, told people that he is still in the race and there is no turning back.
According to him, he is ready to work and make a difference in the Senate, promising to give them better representation.
