WHY SAGAMU SHOULD SUPPORT MY CHAIRMANSHIP AMBITION – Damilare Bello (Dre).

A chairmanship candidate on the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Damilare Muhammad Bello (Dre), has promised to turn around the economy of the local government within two years if elected chairman of Sagamu Local Government in the forthcoming 2021 elections.

Dre, who has always been a progressive frontline, Youth activist and a philanthropist, made the promise on Thursday at Ogijo, during one of his campaign tour from ward to wards and house to house

He has always been friendly with the grassroots and that alone pave ways for his smooth acceptance, he pledged to do many things differently to revamp the economy saying, “a lot of research had been done on the economy and if given the chance, he would bring them to bear and turn around things’’.

Economic growth under his watch, according to him, will experience tremendous change within 600 days, and will be physical and not based on paper statistics.

“I will do so many things differently. When we put our processes in, the woman who is selling groundnuts by the roadside will feel the positive impacts”.

“It is not by mere statistics or indices that we churn out. We want the ordinary people in the streets to feel the impact of the economy on their lives”.

Security, Health, Education, Sports will be touched. Sagamu Local Government of today is quite different from the past one. He pressed, we have a very big land mass compare to other local government in Ogun State”.

“We have young men and women who are neck deep into research and understand the economy of this local government,” he said. He added that the local government is developing in all ramifications with intellects”.

On his acceptance by the electorates in the Ogijo and other Rural part of the Sagamu local government, Dre said we had equally worked tirelessly for our candidacy from Rural areas, and that now, it is their turn to support us so as to fulfill many and more of these promises.

“I think the Rural areas part of Sagamu should support us since they have been deprived from their rights, we shall bring everyone back on board and also supported them, it will be give and take thing.

We are talking of developing Sagamu with infrastructures and making the rural areas an acceptable area that will attract more investors.

“The traditionals system must be respected”, said Dre, he also said the era of coming to the town to get what they should have been easily provided closer to them in the rural area is over. We are actually bringing down many opportunities that will give them a sense of belonging in our government if elected as the Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government.

“We are not talking about a section of this local government. If I don’t have a people support, to be honest with you, I would not want to be a chairman of this local government”.

“I want to be chairman of a united and indivisible local government called Sagamu. Call Sagamu a town, community or whatever, I will use my influence to turn it to metropolis city soon because we have the resources to do so here in Sagamu.

Wherever Sagamites are, let them support Omooba Damilare Muhammad Bello, because we too have supported them,” Awobajo Adesegun (Achathy) said.
