“Primary school teachers life matters, they are dire in need of a well being as a teacher. I Shosanya Babatunde Oluwaseyi, an advocate for the teachers in Nigeria. I’m using my space to support the teachers and connects them to opportunities and learning resources.”

Section 4, Page 8 of the National Policy on Education 4th Edition (2004) describes “primary education as the duration given in institutions for children aged 6 to 11 plus.”

In summary, primary education is the foundation and pivotal role in the key to the success or failure of the whole education system.

The current state of primary education is worrisome and unspeakable most importantly the way teacher’s treated is nothing to write about in addition their remuneration is unthinkable. I do believe if care is not taking primary education will sudden die untimely death. Our Government needs to look inward and take a drastic steps to salvage the primary education. A little research conducted I was able to expose and realized primary school teachers are facing a lot of challenges and they are the least paid civil servants in Nigeria, yet they owe them salary arrears, no annual increment talkless of promotion. The primary school teachers, lay foundation for students they are entitled to be treated in an appropriate manner. I do believe it is not a crime becoming a teacher. I want to use this medium to appeal to the government at the federal, state and local government level to prioritize wellbeing of primary school teachers. I will leave us with La Professora Frida Quotation. Permit me to quote” You can’t pour from an empty cup, Take time for yourself. Relax, Reflect, Rejuvenate.
