Two dead, 30 injured in car crash in Bauchi

Two people have been killed in a fatal accident that occurred in Miya-Barkate along Toro-Jos road, Toro Local Government Area of ​​Bauchi State.

No fewer than 30 others suffered injuries of varying degrees in the three-vehicle accident.

The Bauchi State Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corp confirmed the incident Sunday.

According to a Toro Unit Command report obtained by our correspondent, the crash involved three vehicles traveling together in the same direction.

The accident is believed to have occurred around 12:30 p.m

The vehicles involved in the fatal accident are two passenger cars: Toyota Carina E license plate YAB427HW and a Corolla license plate APP754AE; while the third is a commercial Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number YDB953AA.

According to the report, the accident may have been caused by a speed limit violation.

A total of 32 people were involved in the accident, including 27 male adults and five female adults.

The victims were evacuated to Toro General Hospital for treatment and confirmation, where a doctor confirmed that two male adults were dead, while 25 male adults and five female adults suffered varying degrees of injuries.

The bodies were deposited at Toro General Hospital for treatment.
