Triumphant Remo Stars Bag N25m Reward For Historic NPFL Title Win

Nigerian football champions, Remo Stars, have received a cash reward of N25 million for their landmark victory in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, marking a new chapter in the club’s rise to national prominence.

The announcement was made by the club’s chairman, Kunle Soname, during a celebratory ceremony held at the Remo Stars Stadium on Monday. The event brought together players, technical officials, supporters, and club partners to commemorate the Sky Blue Stars’ first top-flight title.

As part of the accolades, Adedayo Olamilekan, a standout performer throughout the season, was named Player of the Season and rewarded with a brand-new car in recognition of his contributions to the club’s success.

The rewards extended to other arms of the Remo Stars football family. Their developmental side, Beyond Limits FC, who recently clinched victory at the Gothia Cup in Sweden, received N5 million for their outstanding international achievement, showcasing the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent on a global stage.

Similarly, the Remo Stars Ladies, who made a historic appearance in the NWFL Super Six Playoffs for the first time, were recognized with a N10 million reward. The milestone marks a significant breakthrough for the women’s team in Nigeria’s elite women’s league.

In appreciation of unwavering support throughout the season, the Remo Stars Supporters’ Club was also acknowledged with a N2 million cash gift, underlining the importance of fan engagement in the club’s journey to greatness.

Speaking at the event, Soname praised the collective effort behind the club’s success. “This is not just about winning a trophy; it’s a validation of our long-term vision, discipline, and belief in developing football holistically,” he said.

With silverware in hand and financial rewards pouring in, Remo Stars now look ahead to representing Nigeria on the continental stage, with renewed determination to leave a mark in African club football.
