Tribute To Late Dr Dominic Adegbola, PDP Lagos State Chairman by Olagunju Ebenezer Mayowa.

Dear Daddy (Like I always call you),

The news of your departure still leaves our jaws open, you were not just a father, you were Leader and Mentor.

Your honesty and disciplined stance on issues is one I admire most.

I can recall how you invited me over to discuss on proposals to move the party forward. You shared with me in-depth secrets and efforts you have been making to provide a good structure formidable enough to win elections in Lagos.

Your generosity knows no bounds, you opened your doors to everyone and patiently provided a listening ear.

Your love and passion for the PDP is not in doubt. Your loyalty to the party and the leadership(no matter how uncomfortable you are with the decision) is one I will forever respect.

Daddy, you have fought a good fight, you have concluded the race, the best smile we can put on your face is not to let your efforts go in vain.

We shall hold tight to the good values you upheld, we shall speak the truth while staying loyal. We shall ensure this Umbrella never tears apart, we shall follow due process and laid down mechanisms which you always upheld to resolve our dissatisfactions.

We have also learnt the lesson that nothing in this world lasts forever, and no matter how much we achieve or how high we rise, we shall one day leave them all.

Like the Yoruba Adage says, Ojo a jina sira o (may we live longer) and may God give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

I believe the heavens are rejoicing and welcoming you.

I send my condolences to all PDP members in Lagos, South-West and Nigeria.

Omo Akin lo (a courageous man has departed).

Adieu Daddy!
