Tragedy At Abia Construction Site: Gunmen In Army Camouflage Kill Soldier, Company Driver

Tragedy struck on Saturday evening in Nunya, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, when suspected kidnappers disguised in military uniform attacked a construction site, killing a soldier and a driver attached to a Chinese engineering firm.
According to eyewitness accounts, the assailants—estimated to be six in number—stormed the site on three motorcycles, dressed in army camouflage and wielding assault rifles. Without warning, they opened fire on workers, fatally hitting one of the site drivers. A soldier assigned to provide security was also shot dead. His service rifle was reportedly carted away by the attackers before they fled the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the gunmen may have crossed over from a neighboring state. Sources believe the attackers are part of a notorious kidnapping ring, allegedly led by a suspect with military training who is currently at large.
