TINUBU’s BIRTHDAY @69 AND COLLOQUIUM IN KANO; NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE STATE : GANDUJE AN ICON OF POLITICAL DEMOCRACY AND FATHER OF MODERN KANO

The just concluded birthday anniversary @69 of APC leader Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu in Kano State is now history and was an honour of both Kano State people and Lagos State citizens for the fact that the celebration of the 12th anniversary of the Colloquium and Tinubu’s birthday will strengthen and enhance the unity of both States and the nation in general.

This indicates the fact that Nigeria’s unity is paramount for the existence of our nation’s political, economic and social well-being.

For example, in China those who are called Chinese are only 75percent of the nation’s population and the remaining 25percent are other tribes with different languages and religions. And the population of China has been projected to be about 1.5b people

(for every five people in the world one is a Chinese) and they have been living together for thousands of years and again, being ruled by one President with 36 provinces and six geopolitical zones and they practice Direct Democracy in the country. That is unity in diversity. Remember, there are over 100m Muslims in China and other millions of other religion followers. Therefore China will be the largest global economy by 2060 and will be the largest populous nation after India then.

Likewise, India is another example for the fact that the country is the second most populous nation in the world after China with a population of 1.3b and thousands of tribes and different religion followers and under the rulership of one Prime Minister. India is among the top 10 largest economy in the world and was granted independence by British

60years ago; Islam is the second largest religion in that huge country.

Considering the history of Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s birthday for the past years, it was his desciples that made such great arrangements for many years. They created the anniversary under the leadership of the current Nigeria’s Vice President Professor Yemi Osunbanjo tagged “Tinubu Foundation” and every year make such anniversary with a view to respect their leader for his tremendous contributions to Lagos State, the South West and the nation generally.

So, this year’s event was held in Kano State with a view to strengthen and enhance the relationship with the people of Kano State and the northern Nigeria.

The Foundation has Billions of Naira from donations by those who Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu assisted in one way or the other along the way in life especially being the current leader in the South Western Nigeria.

Hence the Government of Kano State under the able leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (OFR and Khadimul Islam) did not spend a single Naira from the State’s treasury for the anniversary of Bola Tinubu’s birthday at 69.

It was the Tinubu’s Foundation that shouldered the responsibility of the expenses. As earlier said, the essence behind the anniversary is to consolidate, strengthen and enhance the relationship between the two States and the nation for closer political, economic and social well-being of Nigerians generally.

This is an idea worth emulating; to organise a Colloquium annually for our northern political and economic heroes the likes of Malam Aminu Kano, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Sardauna of Sokoto Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sir J S Tarka, Abubakar Rimi, Adamu Chiroma, Alhaji Ribado, Inuwa Wada, Alhassan Dantata, Sunusi Dantata, Aminu Dantata, Sheikh Malam Isyaka Rabi’u, Aliko Dangote, Abdussamadu Isyaka Rabi’u and the likes. This assertion is a must for WE the people of Northerner Nigeria. This writing appeal to our leaders to think on this assertion ASAP.
