Tinubu: MC Oluomo denies imposing N500 stickers on tricycles in Lagos
The Chairman, Lagos State Park and Garages Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, has denied ordering tricycle riders to purchase stickers in support of Bola Tinubu’s ambition.
The stickers carry his image, that of Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate.
A video shows some riders protesting the directive to pay N500 for Tinubu campaign stickers.
Oluomo, in a statement, noted that he was surprised that people were attaching the footage to him.
The former National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Chairman said being an election season, people with malicious intentions were engaging in propaganda.
“I did not know anything about the said sticker, neither did I sanction the sale. I would appreciate additional information as regards the location where the incident happened so that we can conduct thorough investigation.
“We are against anything that would hamper the free flow of business activities or bring hardship upon our people,” he said.
Oluomo stressed that Tinubu has more than enough people willing to finance his campaign and such money would not come from him nor his office.
He advised people to be vigilant and as political parties “would be looking for ways, both ethical and unethical, to outsmart themselves”.
The Parks and Garages leader said he should be left out of “political permutations…for the sake of cheap popularity”.
