Here are some things to consider before getting a dog:
1. Your reason for buying one
Why do you think you need a dog? For security reasons, for companionship, because of peer pressure, for health purposes?
2. What do your family members say about it?
If you as an individual are not getting a dog and you have a family living with you, you should consider what your family thinks.

3. Can you bond with the dog?
Can you commit to the dog and for how long? Will you be there for the dog and his puppies as he reproduces? Can you feed the dog regularly and control its appetite? Can you take care of the dog, in terms of health and body?

Does the dog or pet fit into your lifestyle? You don’t want to choose a dog just because of how it looks without knowing if it will fit your lifestyle – work, health etc.
