The Three Fuji Stars Who Have Publicly Shown Respect To K1 Wasiu Ayinde Marshall As Their Leader In The Industry
King Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe Marshal popularly known as K1, is generally believed to be the King and ultimate leader of Fuji musicians in Nigeria. But then, not all Fuji music artistes have come to accept the music legend as such. And the reason that could be adduced to that, is the rivalry that has been part of Fuji music from inception. However, there are three Fuji music stars who have been seen showing respect to K1, publicly, as their own King and leader in the industry, at different points in time.

And, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Odetola popularly known as Pasuma is one of them. Earlier in the year 2021, a video emerged on the internet where Pasuma went to see K1 at his house in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. And, on getting there, Pasuma prostrated flat on the floor as he hailed K1 as his leader and boss in the industry. In fact, it took K1 gesturing to him to stand up from the floor before Pasuma finally got up. And, on many other occasions in the public, Pasuma would first raise his two hands up in salutation to K1, before squatting down to greet him as a leader.
The second Fuji star who has shown respect to K1 too is King (Dr.) Saheed Akorede Okunola simply known as Saheed Osupa. And, it was at a recent event in Lagos State where the two of them met he did so. At the event, Saheed Osupa went to meet K1 where he took his seat after coming into the hall, and bent down respectfully to greet the Mayegun of Yoruba Land as K1 is also known. And, when Saheed Osupa got on the stage to perform afterwards, he sang a special number for K1 in which he called him “Oluwa wa” (Our Lord) in the Fuji music industry.
The third Fuji star who has shown respect to K1 is Alhaji Sulaiman Adio better know as Atawewe. Interestingly, it was at the same event in Lagos State where Saheed Osupa showed respect to K1 publicly that Atawewe displayed his own respect too. And, this is how he did it. When Atawewe was called on stage to perform at the event, he began his performance by saluting K1 as the King of Fuji. And, while he was saluting K1, Atawewe squatted down on the stage for almost five minutes, as he said you don’t greet a King in a standing posture. It was one demonstration of respect to K1 by Atawewe that marvelled everyone at the event.
So, that is how Pasuma, Saheed Osupa and Atawewe have all demonstated their acceptance of K1, as their ultimate leader in the Fuji music industry.
