Ten Hag remains silent, United launches internal probe
Ten Hag said at a press conference on Friday: ,,I can’t add anything. I refer to the statement of the club.
“I cannot comment on the process at this time. I can’t say anything about it, I refer to the club’s statement and at the moment I can’t add anything to it.”
Ten Hag said Thursday’s announcement from the prosecution would not affect United’s preparations for Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace, which United held to a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park last month.
“We always have to focus on the game, whatever happens, it’s our job,” he said. “That’s why we’re here.
“We have a lot to do against them. Two weeks ago it was a poor performance there, I was not happy with our performance, it was 90 per cent focus and energy and we dropped two points.
“Tomorrow we need a better game, better focus in the game, better behavior in the way of playing, because we have to beat them, that’s pretty clear.”
United, which secured a place in the League Cup final this week, are fourth in the Premier League table.
Meanwhile, after all charges against Greenwood were dropped on Thursday, Manchester United released a statement saying they would conduct their own internal investigations to determine Greenwood’s future at the club.
As seen on the club’s website, the statement read: “Manchester United take note of the Crown Prosecution Service’s decision that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped.
“The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not comment further until that process is complete.”
Greenwood has not played for United since being suspended by the club in January 2022. United suspended the striker shortly after he was arrested on suspicion of rape, assault and death threats.
