Supporters podium walk for Delta SDP gubernatorial candidate
“I can see he is a truthful person, from the manifesto I heard I believe he is capable”
Dozens of Social Democratic Party (SDP) supporters in Ozoro, Delta’s Isoko North Local Government Area, have gathered for a solidarity walk for the gubernatorial candidate in the upcoming general election, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi and all SDP candidates, from the House of Representatives to the State House of Assembly.
The highlight of the walk was the adoption of the former Minister of State for Education as the only gubernatorial candidate who can fulfill his election promises at Ekwerigbe Primary School, Ozoro.
The supporters, who sang several solidarity songs, started from the Adaigho Foundation Gospel Crusader Church and ended at the campaign site where party members and their huge crowd of supporters pledged their support to the party’s SDP banner bearer and candidates in Isoko nation.
The Ozoro natives said that since its existence no gubernatorial candidate had spoken so passionately about his development plans for them as shown by the largest private investor in the state.
At Ekwerigbe Primary School, Gbagi, a former chairman of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, addressed the crowd, praising them for showing love for the party and assuring them of the development programs his government would bring to the nation of Ozoro.

He called on the people of Ozoro to vote for all the party’s candidates, from the president to the State House of Assembly, noting that the excited crowd had shown that the people really yearned for positive change and did not listen to made-up stories.
The campaign trail moved from Ekwerigbe Primary School to First Guaranty Petroleum and Gas Limited, a gas station for Gbagi’s free fuel distribution to transporters, where they pledged to mobilize votes for the governorship candidate, Olorogun Gbagi, in the 2023 general election.
Mr. Emeza Destiny expressed his gratitude for the free fuel distribution and said, “I am very happy, but not because of the fuel Gbagi gave us. I am happy because I believe he is someone who will do what he says he will do.
“I can tell he is a truthful person, from the manifesto I heard I believe he is capable. They’re trying from the ground up and I’m ready to recruit for them.
“I lived in Warri before, Gbagi, is a good man. We need positive changes and I pray that God will give Gbagi victory.
“I am happy based on the manifestos of the SDP gubernatorial candidate. Not only am I happy with the fuel, but I’m also happy that what he says I can do. I am not a member of any political party, but I support Gbagi, he stressed.
