Senator Gbenga Daniel Mourns Buhari: “Nigeria Has Lost A Patriot And A Pillar Of Discipline”

Former Ogun State Governor and serving Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has joined millions of Nigerians in mourning the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, describing his death as a national loss of monumental proportions.
Reacting to the news of the former president’s death on Sunday in a London clinic at the age of 81, Senator Daniel extolled Buhari’s legacy as a disciplined, selfless, and patriotic leader who answered Nigeria’s call at crucial moments in the nation’s history.
“Nigeria has lost a patriot, a pillar of discipline, and a man whose sense of duty was never in doubt. President Buhari dedicated his life to serving this country, both in military and civilian capacities, with deep conviction and uncommon modesty,” Senator Daniel said in a statement.
