On Wednesday, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, inaugurated the 18.75 km Phase I Lekki-Epe Expressway and also flagged off the second phase.

“Before construction started, it turned out that the road could no longer serve the people. So from two lanes to six lanes, stiff pavement. This is one of the best roads you can be proud of.
We think you deserve it. We can’t shortchange you. You don’t deserve half the fun. This is a government that works for the interests of the people. We are happy to hand over the road today and the second phase has begun.
“We will do everything we can to ensure that what we started in the second phase is completed. It’s not about lip service,” he added.
Governor Sanwo-Olu reiterated the need to vote APC, but said the upcoming polls were not about religion, but performance, stating that a vote for the ruling party is “a vote for tomorrow; it is a voice for help.
