Sagamu Youth Association Mourns Matriarch Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike, Commends Her Life Of Service

The Sagamu Youth Association has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike, who died at the age of 83. In a statement released on Monday, the association, under the leadership of Comrade Olugbenga Isiaka Lawal, popularly known as Ambassador Easy, described the late matriarch as “a pillar of strength, faith, and community values.”
According to the statement, Alhaja Ogunnaike was more than just a mother to her family — she was a beacon of moral guidance whose kindness and integrity touched many lives in Sagamu and beyond.
“Mama’s life reflected unwavering devotion to God, compassion for others, and an enduring commitment to community growth. Her passing is not only a loss to her immediate family but to the entire Sagamu community who benefitted from her wisdom and warmth,” the statement read.
The Sagamu Youth Association highlighted Mama’s legacy of selflessness and prayers, noting that she raised generations grounded in discipline, service, and uprightness.

“As we mourn her departure, we also celebrate a life well spent. We pray that Almighty Allah grants her eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus and gives the Ogunnaike family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss,” the association added.
The association concluded by reiterating its support and solidarity with the Ogunnaike family, urging youths in Sagamu to emulate Mama’s virtues of humility, resilience, and service to humanity.
