Sagamu Youth Association BOT Accepts Genesis Media CEO’s Apology, Issues Stern Warning On Future Conduct
Sagamu, Ogun State – In a move to uphold unity and mutual respect within its ranks, the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Sagamu Youth Association (SYA), stakeholders and the executives has officially accepted the revised apology tendered by Mr. Olusola Babafemi on behalf of Mr. Saliu Owoseni Olamide Daniel l, Genesis Media owner. The apology, dated Friday, December 20, 2024, came in response to concerns raised over a recent false statement liable to assassinate individuals character and the association integrity, issued by the CEO of Genesis Media, Mr. Saliu Owoseni Olamide Daniel, that sparked widespread reactions within the community.
In a statement signed by Comrade Adebayo Otusanya on behalf of the BOT, the Association acknowledged apology letter written on behalf of Genesis Media House boss through Mr. Babafemi’s efforts to clarify his position and address the issues at hand. “We appreciate your effort to address the concerns raised and provide clarity regarding the recent statement,” the BOT noted.
The acceptance, however, was described as a gesture rooted in the wisdom and guidance of the elders in the community, whose intervention encouraged the BOT to resolve the matter amicably. “This acceptance is guided by the wisdom and counsel of our community elders, whose encouragement has allowed us to resolve this matter peacefully,” the statement added.

While the apology has been accepted, the BOT issued a stern warning about future incidents, emphasizing that any recurrence of such behavior would be met with decisive legal action.
“Please be advised that should a similar situation arise in the future, the Association (SYA) will not issue further warnings. Instead, we will take immediate legal action to protect the integrity and reputation of the SYA and its members,” the BOT stated emphatically.
The BOT expressed hope that the resolution of this issue would serve as a learning moment and inspire a renewed commitment to transparency, unity, and respect among all members of the Association.
“We trust that this resolution will inspire a renewed commitment to transparency, unity, and mutual respect as we collectively pursue the development of our community,” the statement concluded.
