Sagamu PDP Suspends All Meetings To Mourn Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga ‘Ijaya’
In a sign of respect and solidarity to sympathize the demise of Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga Oriyomi Ijaya, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sagamu Local Government has announced the suspension of all political meetings across the local government and ward levels for one week. This decision is in honor of the late Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga (popularly known as Ijaya), the Deputy Chief Whip of the 10th House of Representatives, who tragically passed away recently.
Rt. Hon. Onanuga, who represented Ikenne, Remo North, and Sagamu Federal Constituency, was celebrated as a courageous leader and a dedicated patriot committed to the progress of her constituency. Her passing is regarded as a monumental loss not only to Remoland but to Ogun State at large.
In a statement signed by the Sagamu PDP Chairman, Hon. Dauda Adeyemi, the party expressed deep sorrow over her demise, describing her as a beacon of hope and inspiration.

“Hon. Ijaya was a genuine patriot, a woman of courage, and devoted to the betterment of her constituency. Her death is a great loss to Remo and Ogun State as a whole,” the statement read.
The party also extended prayers for the late legislator, asking the Almighty to forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest in heaven.
This gesture reflects the collective grief and respect for a leader who left an indelible mark on her constituency and the people of Ogun State.
