Sagamu LG Chairman, Ogbeni Odulate Swiftly Responds To Collapsed School Buildings, Approves Renovation For Another

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Odulate Jubril Olasile, has in a prompt display of responsiveness to community needs, paid an assessment visit to Moleruwa Community High School, Gbaga, Ogijo, following the collapse of some school buildings due to a heavy downpour.

The visit, which took place earlier today, saw the council boss accompanied by the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) and key officials of the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA). They were warmly received by the school principal, Mr. Adetona D. A., who guided the team through the affected areas. Mr. Adetona expressed profound appreciation to the local government for its swift intervention and concern for the welfare of students and staff.

In continuation of his oversight activities, Ogbeni Odulate also visited Anglican Church Primary School, Keto-Mosimi, where structural concerns had previously been raised. During the visit, the Chairman and his team were welcomed by the Baale of the community, C, alongside other community members.

Addressing the gathering, Ogbeni Odulate announced the approval of the renovation work on the dilapidated school building, promising that efforts to restore the structure would commence without delay.

The Executive Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure across Sagamu Local Government, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for all children.

“Our government remains committed to swift responses and proactive governance to uplift every part of Sagamu,” he declared.

The visits are part of broader efforts by the Sagamu Local Government to ensure that public facilities, especially schools, meet acceptable standards.
