The Remo Youth Association (RYA) has issued an urgent appeal to the Ogun State Government for the rehabilitation of the deteriorating Mayegun Axis road, leading towards the Sagamu tollgate, following a fatal accident that claimed multiple lives.

In the early hours of Friday, a tragic collision involving a truck, a motorcycle, and an 18-passenger bus left several dead and many others critically injured. According to eyewitnesses, the poor condition of the road contributed significantly to the accident, stranding motorists and endangering lives.

At the scene of the accident, the RYA Chairman and executives expressed their condolences to the victims and called on Governor Dapo Abiodun, the Ogun State Commissioner for Works, and the Commissioner for Transportation to take immediate action. The association highlighted the approaching festive season, a time when the road will see increased traffic, making the need for repairs even more pressing.
