Remo Youth Association Pays Courtesy Visit To Sagamu Area Command, Seeks Collaboration On Security And Crime Prevention

In a bid to foster a stronger partnership between the youth and security agencies, the Executives of Remo Youth Association (RYA) paid a courtesy visit to the Sagamu Area Command Division on Tuesday, July 30th.

The delegation, led by RYA Chairman, Comrade Bidemi Solarin, met with Area Commander ACP Shehu Alao and AO Makinde, alongside members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Remo, led by Vice Chairman, Mr. Jegede.

The visit aimed to introduce the new executive members of RYA, discuss pressing security concerns, and seek collaboration in combating crime activities in Remo. The association also requested the Command’s liaison with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to curb drug promotion in the area.

During the meeting, PCRC Vice Chairman, Mr. Jegede, emphasized the importance of youth representation in PCRC meetings, while the RYA executives wished ACP Alao success in his service and prayed for divine guidance and wisdom in his leadership. 

ACP Alao expressed his appreciation for the visit, stating that it was timely and crucial, especially with the impending youth protests across the country. He acknowledged the visit as a call to service and promised to maintain the existing collaboration with the youth to consolidate the peaceful co-existence in Remo.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to work together in addressing security challenges and promoting a safer environment for all.
