Hosted by His Royal Majesty, Oba Kazeem Gbadamosi, the Ologijo of Ogijo, the festival witnessed an outpouring of excitement, color, and tradition, surpassing previous editions in both grandeur and turnout. The event brought together traditional rulers, political stakeholders, residents, and well-wishers in a carnival-like atmosphere filled with vibrant displays of culture, music, and pageantry.
Addressing the gathering, Princess Elegbeji expressed appreciation to the people of Ogijo for their consistent support of Governor Abiodun’s administration and for their steadfast preservation of cultural heritage. She remarked that the town’s steady growth and peaceful coexistence are the results of the favorable atmosphere created by the state government, particularly under the leadership of Governor Abiodun.
“What we are witnessing in Ogijo today — the peace, development, and communal harmony — are direct outcomes of the progressive and inclusive policies of our responsive governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun. The entire Sagamu axis, including Ogijo, has benefitted from his people-oriented governance,” she stated.
