Following the fallout from the PDP Presidential Primaries which is threatening to polarize the party at the national level, a group in Bauchi State under the aegis of South East Coalition for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for the calm and peaceful resolution to the issues rocking the party.

The group made this known in a communique shortly after its emergency meeting held in Bauchi, copies of which were made available to newsmen in the state capital,

In the statement signed by its Chairman, Emeka Aneke Ekwueme, the group called on all the members of the party and all the warring factions to sheath their swords and embrace peaceful dialogue in resolving the issues bedevilling the party.

He stressed that all factions must shun any utterance or action that will distract the party ahead of the general elections, bearing in mind that the PDP remains the only available political option that will salvage the country from the shackles that the present government has plugged the nation into.

The group expressed optimism that if all the burning issues are properly handled and every interest group are brought on board, it will enable the party to build on the gains that they have recorded nationwide in states where fresh elections and bye-elections were conducted and the party emerged victorious.

According to the communiqué, no stone should be left unturned in ensuring that the issues are resolved peacefully as everybody is important in ensuring the victory of the PDP in the 2023 general election.

The group congratulated all the decampees into PDP led by the immediate past Deputy Governor of the State Audu Sule Katagum even as it wished the PDP in Bauchi State and at the National Level, success in the build-up to 2023 general elections.
