Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle Denies Suing Governor Dapo Abiodun, Reaffirms Loyalty To APC

Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle has strongly dismissed speculations suggesting that he has initiated legal proceedings against the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun. In a statement addressing the rumors, Alowonle described the claims as baseless and the handiwork of mischief-makers seeking undue attention.
Labeling the reports as “a real fallacy” and “misleading news,” he clarified that he has no reason to take legal action against the governor, whom he regards as a father figure and a leader committed to the progress of Ogun State. He questioned the credibility of those spreading the misinformation, challenging them to present tangible proof of the alleged lawsuit, including the court where it was filed or the legal representatives involved.
“It is absurd to think that I would file a lawsuit against a governor who has consistently supported development in our state and who has never hindered my personal or political growth. There is simply no basis for such a claim,” Alowonle stated.
Beyond addressing the lawsuit speculation, Alowonle also refuted allegations of his defection to the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He reaffirmed his unwavering allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and emphasized his active participation in the party’s activities. He noted that his commitment to the APC remains unshaken, particularly as he has been championing the “Alowonle PDA 4 Ogun East Senate” campaign to rally support for Governor Abiodun’s political future.

As part of this initiative, he disclosed that over 3,000 branded souvenirs have already been distributed across Ogun East to strengthen grassroots support for the governor. He stressed that it would be illogical for him to abandon a party that has been instrumental to his political journey for an opposition platform with less influence in the state.
“I want to make it categorically clear: I have not and will not leave the APC. The stories being circulated are false and only aimed at creating confusion. I remain committed to the vision of our great party and the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun,” he affirmed.
Alowonle urged the public to disregard the rumors and avoid being misled by those who thrive on political propaganda. He maintained that his focus remains on contributing to the success of the APC and ensuring the continued progress of Ogun State under Governor Abiodun’s leadership.
