Sunday PUNCH had previously reported that some members of the party, including the VP, had steered clear of their party’s campaign activities since losing to Tinubu in the presidential primaries.
Although APC Presidential Campaign Council spokesman Festus Keyamo had said the vice president was acting on the president’s directive to focus on governance, there are fears that the vice president would have been active in the campaign if he went to had emerged as the presidential president of the APC. candidate.
In an interview with our correspondent, APC spokesperson in Lagos State, Seyi Oladejo, said the VP’s absence would not affect Tinubu’s victory at the poll.
“We don’t care; we have a sustainable structure to deliver for the elections. Remember we have never lost the state since the advent of this democracy and everything points to our victory,” he said.
