Onanuga Ijaya Sponsored Bill, National Metallurgical Training Institute To Sagamu State Constituency Passes Third Reading

The Ranking Member House of Representatives, Otunba Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga otherwise known as Ijaya, representing Remo Federal Constituency has put in all her efforts to ensure that a Bill of Act to establish National Metallurgical Training Institute, sponsored by her pass the third reading.

A development many sees as opportunity to her constituency and Nigeria at large.

The bill sponsored by the ranking Honourable Onanuga Ijaya was established and pass the first reading on the 27th of November, 2019.

While the second reading was 23rd of July year 2020 as committee refers to steel consolidated with date reported out of committee on 5th of April 2022.

And now pass the third reading on Tuesday 2nd of may 2023, four years after establishing the bill.

Nigeria only has a National Metallurgical Training Institute which is sited in Onitsha and the second kind of National Metallurgical Training Institute will be in Sagamu, Ogun State to provide training, information, supervision, guidance and advice to students, researchers and personnel in Iron & Steel, and oil & gas industries for National development and for related Matters (HB. 528).
